Savory Foods Fundraiser - May 19th through June 2nd

November Trip

Mr. Phillips is planning an optional trip on November 14-16 (Friday -Sunday) to watch Bands of America Grand National Championship which will be the finals for the national marching band championship. This competition will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana. Students will travel by motor coach, spend 2 nights in a hotel, have 3 lunches, 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts, watch the competition, do some sightseeing and then return to Rockford. At this time he would like you to check your schedules and discuss with family members if this is a trip your student would like to take. It is totally optional.
Information about cost will be announced later. Because of the timing, when that information becomes available, we will set a deadline for your decision. This trip will have to be arranged before school is dismissed for the summer.

Uniform Fittings

I am in need of MANY helpers for Uniform Fittings. Kirsten and Sue would like 14 volunteers for each fitting date. Please look at the dates and send me a reply if you can help on any night.
May 7 and 8 Juniors
May 12 and 14 Sophomores
May 15 and 19 Freshmen
May 20 and 27 Seniors

Remember - Seniors should turn in their washed/cleaned concert uniforms next week. Everyone else should turn them in on their fitting date.

FUNDRAISER: Wendy's Get Together

Mark your calendars for a new fundraising opportunity coming this May!

The "Scrip of the month" for May is Wendy's and our local Wendy's is hosting a "Wendy's Get Together" on May 14th from 5-7 PM.

10% of profits during the "Wendy's Get Together" will go to Rockford Bands.

NEW LOCATION! TEXAS HOLD 'EM VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Our third Texas Hold 'Em poker tournament is June 5-7 and is now being held at the Deuces Wild in Grand Rapids. We are in need of many people help to run the desk. The responsibilities of the desk helper is to sell and redeem chips and sign players up for the tournaments. That's it! It's pretty easy. You will be working with at least one other person so you won't be alone at any time. Dress is casual. If you would like to help out, please contact me ASAP. A schedule is posted on the link below.
