Percussion Rehearsals/Clinics and Auditions will begin in February.
On Tuesday, February 23, from 6-9 PM, all Percussion band members in grades 8-11 are to meet in the HS Band Room. At that meeting Brandon Grinwis (Front Ensemble Instructor) and Nate Leitz (Battery Instructor) will discuss the Percussion schedule and announce who will need to attend the future Percussion meetings scheduled on March 9, March 23 and April 13.
On Tuesday, February 16, 2010, your students will perform in concert in the RHS auditorium at 7 PM. You are encouraged to attend and bring the family.
Students from ERMS and NRMS will travel by bus to RHS at the end of the school day for a rehearsal which will begin at approximately 3:00 PM. 8th grade students are to ride one of the first load buses that travel to the HS. Bus drivers are aware that middle school students will be riding to the HS that day. Students are to get off the bus at the HS and go to the band room.
At 5:30 PM a dinner will be provided for the students. The dinner menu is Baked Pasta, Salad, Garlic Bread, Punch and Dessert. Those who do not want to have the dinner provided are to bring a sack lunch to eat at dinner time. We will have a closed campus - no one is allowed to leave the HS at dinner time.
We are in need of 10 finger food desserts, each to serve 24, for the dinner. Suggestions are: bars, brownies or cupcakes. Please respond to me if you are able to provide a dessert. (Beth McGlincy,

or 874-9183) Desserts may be brought to the HS cafeteria between 4:00 and 5:00 PM or may be brought to the band room and left in Mr. Phillips’ office any time during the day. To bring it to the band room you will need to sign in at the office and get a visitor’s pass.
I will be asking Hospitality volunteers (at a later date) to serve and clean up the dinner that will be provided. If you would like to do that, please let me know. All servers are invited to enjoy the dinner.
