ROCKFORD BAND PARENTS
$ OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUR BAND STUDENT TO EARN MONEY! $
An ongoing objective of the Rockford Band Parents Organization is to offer fundraising opportunities for students and parents to assist with paying program fees. Each year many students pay for their entire band camp program fee by participating in the opportunities listed below. The Rockford Band Parents require that all students be involve in at least one full Band Program fundraiser.
We recommend you support and ENCOURAGE your student to take advantage of these events to earn their way. For more information contact any of the board or committee members, or your students’ band director.
Lake Bella Vista Clean-up Students and adults in teams work from Spring to Fall cleaning up the beach front property of Lake Bella Vista. The teams meet at a pre-arranged location weekly or bi-weekly raking, bagging, and doing general cleanup of beaches. All earned monies are directly deposited into the student account.
Scrip Scrip has been a successful means of fundraising. Scrip is a sale of certificates for national and local retail, gas stations, and other companies. When you purchase through the Rockford Band Scrip Program the Band will get a kick back of the sales but you will receive the full amount of your certificate. This fundraiser is spilt equally between the Band Program and student’s accounts.
Candy Sales/Food Sales/Other Sales Students are given an opportunity to sell food items at various times during the school year. Depending on the promotion and number of items sold, an amount is earned and directly deposited into the student account. [Vendor, product and promotion is subject to change]
Band Patron: You can support the Rockfod Band Program by becoming a Band Patron. With a donation of $10 or more, your name or customized advertisement will be published in the largest single event program during the school year: the "Rockford Marching Invitational", held annually in September. For more information, see the form linked below:
Community Services Events Students have the opportunity to take part in events in the community such as the new Business Expo, and the new Community Collection Event. Students assist with event staging and assistance to earn money that is directly deposited into their account. New and different event opportunities are communicated as known.
Adopt-a-band-student A new program opportunity is the matching of students with financial need, and residents needing assistance. Recently two band students assisted a resident with spring yard cleanup to earn money that was directly deposited into their accounts. Students and parents interested in this should contact a board or committee member.
